When I look for beauty products I look for great quality, easy-to-use and organic/cruelty-free make up if possible. I recently discovered the Tarte range at sephora.com.au and love the fact that they create smart, cruelty-free beauty products at an affordable price. I try to always buy natural and organic when I can and Tarte products are made with ingredients such as superfruits and plant extracts and are packed with vitamins, minerals and essential oils which is a huge plus!
I usually go for a bold eye, or a statement lip - never both, as I don't wear a lot of make up and always like to keep my look natural and classic. Below are my top picks of the Tarte range and what I'm currently using to create my beauty look.
For the eye:
I have been using the Tartelette in Bloom palette and I am obsessed! Not only does this palette come in a gorgeous casing, the shades are amazing and perfect for the natural look I like to create. I have quite olive skin, so I'm loving the hues of browns, beige and shimmery golds in this set. I love to blend various colours (no more than 3 for one look) but keep within the same tones. I keep it lighter during the day and go darker at night for a bolder beauty look. I will also add a thin liner (maybe with a subtle wing) at night using the Tarteist clay paint liner. What I love about this liquid liner is that it is super easy to apply and nice and thick! There is nothing I hate more than a runny, transparent, not-quite-black liquid liner.
For the lip:
Again, when it comes to the lip I keep it natural 90% of the time, so I tend to invest in clear glosses and soft pink/brown shades with a matte or slight shimmer finish. The shades I'm wearing at the moment are Namaste and Tbt in the Tarteist lip paint and at night I will wear with the Lip Crayon. What I love about the lip paint is it feels so soft on the lip, has a nice matte finish and is long lasting.
